Some like their chorus tones toothache sweet. Others just want a hint of syrupy swirl. And no matter where you fall on that spectrum, Sugarcube delivers. We captured the essence of all our favourite chorus pedals from the 80s, added in a dash of rotary whirl and some crystallized pitch-shifting for good measure — and then wrapped it all up in a pedalboard-friendly package.
Of course, you get the MIDI, preset and expression pedal support you’ve come to expect from Alexander Pedals, but look — sugar addiction is real. Consider this your only warning.
CHO Classsic Chorus from 70’s and 80’s
DIM Çreates dual wave signal, which moves against each other. The effect is slightly less noticeable than the standard chorus but with “Tweak”, you can get an amazing Flanger sound

Jediný skutečný klon klasického efektu Univibe. Na trhu je spousta efektů, které používají přívlastek autentický a vintage ve spojení s označením Univibe. Ty nejmenší se dají nazvat při troše dobré vůle phasery. Tohle je to pravé ořechové. Efekt je opatřený výrazovým pedálem, podobně jako wah, kterým se ovládá nebo mění rychlost efektu. Vypínač typu true bypass je umístěn u paty a ne pod špičkou, jako tomu bývá klasicky u wah efektů. Ovládání intenzity a hlasitosti, přepínače pro vintage/modern zvuk a mezi chorus/vibe už jenom doplňují moderní pojetí tohoto klasického efektu.
WTF is a K-Field? We are still trying to figure that out (read further)… but the sounds from this magic box make you feel like your rig is swimming…or peacefully drowning in long lost memories.
K-field (Simulation mathematics), an undefined, two-dimensional, non-linear field where past and future forces interact at irregular intervals. Shallow Water generates this k-field by randomly modulating a short time delay to create unexpected shifts in pitch. The result is this non cyclical vibrato/chorus/flanger-type thing favouring old tape flavours.

There are a LOT of pedals claiming to be “authentic vintage Univibe clones” on the market…the small ones are merely a glorified phaser filled with opamps with a few capacitor changes. This one is the real deal and you can feel it in every wave. It is well equipped with a wah-type expression construction, which helps to regulate or change, instantaneously, the speed of the vibe. It also comes with a convenient bypass switch at the heal (helps to keep the desired speed instead of your traditional wah-type under the toe). The versatility of the MDV-3 is only increased with the addition of intensity and volume knobs, and vintage/modern and chorus/vibe switches. With the Rainbow Machine EarthQuaker Devices delivers a unique digital pitch shifting synthesizer specially developed for experimenters and noise makers. The Rainbow Machine uses digital oscillators to produce wild intervals and pitch shiftings for never heard before harmonies and dissonances.
