Crazy Tube Circuits Hi Power

The Crazy Tube Circuits Hi Power is a dual overdrive/amp-in-a-box pedal inspired by the iconic British tone machines that shaped Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” album sound. This versatile pedal combines two distinct circuits in one compact housing, delivering authentic vintage tones with modern reliability.

The right side recreates the legendary Colorsound Power Boost with true-to-original BC184 transistors running at 18V DC via an internal voltage booster. It features the ultra-flexible 2-band Baxandall EQ circuit, a bypassable master volume, and a toggle switch to engage the higher gain “Overdriver” mode of the original circuit.

The left side houses an all-analog circuit emulating the sound and feel of a Hiwatt amplifier, complete with a full EQ section and presence control. A headroom toggle switch allows selection between the high-headroom 100W power section (quartet of EL34s) or the lower-headroom, more compressed 50W power section (pair of EL34s). The master volume provides additional gain at higher settings, true to the original amp design
